In fact, operations began as early as 1924, back then still in Düsseldorf-Grafenberg/ North Rhine-Westphalia, with the construction of industrial furnaces. Yet, following the bombings of World War II, the first attempt to restart operations in Römhild/Thuringia failed when the government expropriated the firm. Finally, in 1955, the firm, operating under the name Ferdinand Schwarz KG, settled in the neighboring town of Königshofen im Grabfeld. After 38 years, the original owner terminated business operations in 1993 and shut down the firm, which, however, re-opened under new leadership the very same year, now called Industrieofen- & Anlagenbau GmbH. Given this history, we could already rely on over 70 years of experience and know-how when founding the firm in 1993. Since then, we have continuously expanded our expertise and adapted to the individual requests of our clients.
